What Is WYL?
WYL stands for Where’s Your Lipstick? Words Maria’s mother used to say when she saw her. It wasn’t just about makeup. It was her way of saying:

Look in the mirror and recognize yourself.
WYL reclaims that tradition not just for grown women, but for the next generation of girls who are still learning how to believe in themselves.
What We Do
WYL is part tribute, part toolkit. It’s a growing initiative designed to support:
- Young girls starting in middle school who are navigating self-image, confidence, and identity
- Mothers and mentors who want to pass down strength, style, and wisdom
- Women of all ages reclaiming their voice and presence after being silenced or overlooked
We plan to develop:
- Confidence kits for teen girls
- WYL Signature Lip Collection inspired by boldness, softness, and heritage
- Workshops & circles for schools, mother-daughter events, and community groups
- Wearable affirmations—tees, pins, stickers—that ask one simple question: Where’s Your Lipstick?
